Founded in 2001 by an Air Force Officer,  Core Group Security Consultants is owned by Anthony "Tony" Jones, a former member of U.S. Special Operations, Electronic Warfare Officer, Intelligence Operator and Personnel Recovery Specialist.  Core Group Security is a Private Investigation firm, an Executive Protection and training company.  We conduct investigations, surveillance, counter-eavesdropping, executive protection and training on an on-going basis. 

We have been operating for over 10 years in Las Vegas and have trained thousands of U.S. personnel and first responders in Surveillance, Personal Protection, Executive Protection, Survival and Counter Terrorism techniques. During Iraqi Freedom, he was the Director of the Personnel Recovery Cell and responsible for Personnel Recovery throughout the theater.

After 9/11, Tony started Core Group and also deployed to Iraq. He was also the former Director of Training of Crisis Response Int. (CRI). Our Canadian partner is Keeghan Wilson. He has been working in the private sector for the past 10 years and was also a senior instructor at Crisis Response Int., specializing in PSD operations in high-risk zones. He has also deployed as a security contractor overseas, throughout the Middle East and the West Indies. He conducts training both in Canada and here in Las Vegas.      

Our instructors bring together a mix of real world combat proven tactics, providing a training methodology of problem solving and skill building techniques that constantly challenge and emphasize the perfect execution of basic fundamentals done under stress. 

TRAINING COURSES

TRAINING - With today's on going threats becoming more and more asymmetrical, we provide proven lessons learned based training and tactics to civilian, law enforcement, military and government agencies.  Our unscheduled training courses can be put together for a minimum of 6 students. These courses are completed here in Las Vegas, but can be taken on the road and brought directly to you. 

We also provide Red Team, Tactical Training and Consulting services that are mission / topic specific, Our protocols are done in a building block approach, based on our years of instructional and combat experience. 

COVERT  SURVEILLANCE

Covert Surveillance Operator: (6 days) The "Art of War" by Sun Tzu, Section 13, The Use of Spies... "what enables the wise and sovereign and the good general to strike and conquer, and achieve things beyond the reach of ordinary men, is Foreknowledge." Surveillance has been used as a vigorous tool for centuries and even to this day forms an integral aspect of the security and intelligence market. 

Surveillance has become a fast emergent part of the Private Security Industry and we provide the skill sets to recognize and identify surveillance operations and personnel. This course covers the basic to advanced protocols necessary for gathering evidence and intelligence by covert means. We provide realistic scenario training where students work as part of a team in a high pressure practical surveillance environment where split second decisions regularly need to be made.  

M.E.A.D. TAC SHOOTER 

Modular Equipment Applications Development, (MEAD - CANADA ): (3 Days) The core of this course is to help you choose and use proper tactical equipment and gear, as well as to understand the design of specific pieces of equipment. Understanding equipment design will teach you how to utilize it to maximize your firearm training and development. Based on extensive research of lessons learned events, the course provides the student with hands on training to manage these situations. We prepare you for the reality that you and your gear may be the difference between life and death.

  Hotel Accommodations:  Accommodations are NOT included in the tuition price. We will work with you on finding a Hotel near our range and classrooms if desired. Based on your choice of Hotels we may be able to provide transportation. Any strip or downtown Hotels are not recommended due to traffic and time restrictions. 

  Lunch:  Will be provided and is included in the tuition price, as well as snacks and hydration.

  Recommended Gear:  Notebook, pen and pencil, sunscreen, hydration system, shooting glasses, ear protection, appropriate clothing for seasonal inclement weather (hot, cold, rain or snow), hat, hiking or tactical boots, pants with cargo pockets, shooting gloves, tinted glasses, multi tool, range bag, etc. 

  Background Check: ALL STUDENTS will need to provide some proof of a clean criminal record with NO felony convictions.  Examples would be a "State issued Criminal Records check."  Go to your local police department where you reside or last resided in the United States, request that the police conduct a criminal records search and provide you with a document reflecting that there is no history of a criminal record. Other examples would be a state issued C.C.W. card, weapon registration card, or DD-214.

  Weapons & Ammo:  (Shooting courses only) We do have a limited number of weapons, (i.e. Glock 17, AR-15 & AK-47) available to be reserved on a first come, first register basis, to prospective students. Students must provide 200 rounds of 9mm, 200 rounds of 223 and 60 rounds of 7.62.  This can also be purchased from us at our cost, or shipped to us prior. This is NOT included in the course cost. Approximate ammunition cost is $225.00.

  Curriculum:  Our curriculum is extensive and we persevere to complete all of our goals and objectives, but we also reserve the right to not complete them due to circumstances out of our control.
